Growing Our Brownsboro Village Tree Canopy! 

This year, our City of Brownsboro Village approved the creation of a Tree Board*, dedicated to expanding our neighborhood tree canopy. Thank you to residents who recognized its potential, and became our first recipients of the Brownsboro Village Tree Canopy initiative. 

We want to acknowledge Sylvan City Trees Certified Arborists Robert Woodford and Andy ­­Oost, for their exceptional service in helping us launch the project.  They met with applicants who were awarded trees to determine the best species and placement for their new saplings. Then, in a span of just a few days, Robert and Andy planted them all (12 trees plus two others neighbors purchased), and our tree canopy has been substantially enhanced. You just can’t help but smile when you see these new beauties.  And imagine what our neighborhood will look like in 2 years…five…ten!   

Many thanks to our generous City of Brownsboro Village for forming the Tree Board, and funding  much of the project.  And special thanks to Shannon Miller, whose impressive grant writing capabilities secured additional funding from Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD)to subsidize the cost of the project. 

Seek and find the newly planted trees!  They're adorned with green bows to celebrate their arrival!
